Linear motors improve performance
Direct drive linear motors shed the rotary-to-linear conversion iron of positioning stages like ballscrews and belt drives to reduce mass and inertia leading to more dynamic performance. The external feedback encoder is eliminated by new integral position sensing technology. Encoder elimination can cut motor price in half. The elimination of the external encoder also removes the need for motor/encoder alignment when building the motor into automation equipment. New tubular motors are designed for compatibility with industrial fittings, simplifying integration into industrial machinery. The ruggedness of the motor permits harsh factory floor applications and unattended operation in dusty, dirty environments.

High cycle brake motors for faster action
A DC brake with integral rectifier provides faster action than traditional spring-set brakes for a line of motors that feature a low inertia design for continuous start/stop applications. A die cast aluminum frame aids in heat dissipation. The brake coil is powered by an integral rectifier and is connected in the motor conduit box so it may be separately connected if the motor is used with an inverter. These high cycle break motors are available from 0.5 to 2 horsepower in NEMA 56C through 145TC enclosures.

NEMA premium efficiency motors save energy
From 1 to 500 horsepowser and larger, motors meet or exceed NEMA premium efficiency specifications. Electric motors consume 10 to 25 times their purchase price in electricity each year, so a single point of increased motor efficiency can mean thousands of dollars worth of savings in the operation of the motor. Trouble-free operation keeps plants running full speed. Every motor has a three-year warranty.
