Key to managing a supply chain

Researchers at Aberdeen Group presented supply chain managers with a list of about 15 internal operating norms (from visibility to crossdocking) and asked them to rate the importance. The chart shows the six items supply chain managers rated most highly. According to Aberdeen's John Fontanella, the fourth item—frequent planning—ranked even higher among the most successful supply chain managers.
