Danish fork lift manufacturer buys its U.S. dealer

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/2006

Danish fork lift and positioner manufacturer Logitrans A/S has purchased its American dealer, Interthor. The purchase agreement is the largest ever signed by Logitrans. Interthor (Broadview, Ill.) has been Logitrans' North American dealer since 1988.

Logitrans' U.S. customers include the U.S. Postal Service, which bought more than 500 Logiflex stackers from Logitrans in 2004 for handling letters and packages. When the takeover of Interthor is complete, Logitrans will have approximately 140 employees and divisions in the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Germany and the United States.
