ITA and OSHA team up for safety

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 6/1/2006

The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have renewed an alliance to work together on lift truck safety.

Since signing the first alliance two years ago, the two organizations have interlinked their Web sites and collaborated on presentations and accident-prevention programs.

Under the renewed alliance, ITA will offer seminars for OSHA compliance officers, training them in the proper use of lift trucks and in how best to promote lift truck safety as they conduct inspections.
