Gorbel offers overhead handling help

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 8/1/2006

Crane and hoist manufacturer Gorbel has created a free online tool to help architects and engineers specify the right crane for a building or application. The resource site is available at www.gorbel.com/cranespec.

The site includes a range of information—from basic descriptions of various types of cranes to detailed design drawings. Gorbel spokesman Jeff McNeil says the site is designed to allow engineers of different experience levels to educate themselves at their own pace.

Other highlights of the site include a library of case studies and application photos, online crane configurations, a request-a-quote feature and a live-help option.
