Ultimate source for lift truck info
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/2006
Lift truck owners now have an online tool for tracking the value of their fleets. The "fleet tracker" is one of several features of EQGuru (Equipment Guru)—a Web site offering valuable decision-making information for those researching, selling, buying and financing lift trucks.
EQGuru began as Lift Truck Guru and Material Handling Guru; these two databases and a new construction equipment database have been combined to form EQGuru, a comprehensive equipment information center.
In addition to the truck specifications, resale values and residual value calculators previously offered at Lift Truck Guru, the site features
- an updated look, with more user-friendly navigation,
- the fleet tracker, allowing owners to track the value of fleets,
- new model introductions, providing information on new trucks before it's available from other sources,
- links to industry news stories,
- a "request more information" icon associated with every model listed that sends an e-mail to the nearest dealer.
The site will soon include other tools for connecting lift truck buyers and sellers, according to Kyle Crist, president of Crist Information and Research, which runs EQGuru.
New model introductions, industry news and the "request more information" feature are free. Reports on specific truck models cost $20 each. Access to other features requires an annual membership fee.
