Wireless printers

The 802.11g wireless LAN radio for QL Plus and RW series mobile printers performs at speeds up to five times faster than the previous generation and allows data-intensive networks to use the highest levels of security available. With increased signal range and data transfer speed, the 802.11g allows more printers to work simultaneously, handling more tasks and increasing output. The network is backwards compatible with 802.11b devices and supports the most advanced encryption systems, enabling the widest range of mobile applications.

Convey fragile products gently

With CruzControl electronic sensors, XenoPressure accumulation conveyors move and consolidate fragile products without allowing them to touch one another, eliminating potential damage. Conveyor drive belts hold the system's components in tension, reducing noise and mechanical failure. Progressive zone release ensures the most efficient product release rate and built-in side barriers eliminate the need for expensive guard rails in many applications.

Scalable printers offer performance

Designed to operate in demanding manufacturing and distribution environments, the T5000r thermal bar code printer delivers maximum supply chain flexibility with software upgradeable architecture and an open migration path to RFID. The high-throughput printer consolidates multiple bar code brands easily with a range of emulations. Snap-in print heads allow rapid field changes without maintenance calls and the ability to quickly change from 203 to 300 dpi printing. A dual motor ribbon system eliminates clutch replacement and die-cast aluminum maintains precise alignment for bar code quality.

Palletizer maintains footprint, increases throughput

The A-780 palletizer is suited to all low-to-mid speed single line applications in the consumer goods industries. With the introduction of a recirculating row pusher and high-speed hoist, the palletizer's capacity has increased by 30% with a high-level infeed without sacrificing pattern flexibility. Throughput is up to 45 case-feet per second even though the overall footprint remains compact. The system is RFID-enabled, allowing personnel to change patterns on the fly, managing end-of-run clearing and tracking production and inventory information.

Stretchwrap 40 loads an hour

With a generous 10-inch offset for load placement, the automatic film cut-and-clamp system on the Q-300XT stretchwrapping machine eliminates the need for lift truck drivers to dismount to attach wrapping material to most loads. The cut-and-clamp module features a minimum of moving parts, a large linear bearing, lightweight components and a hinged flip-up design that speeds and simplifies cleaning. It can wrap loads up to 80 inches tall and weighing 4,000 pounds at rates between 30 and 40 per hour.

Small- to medium-size parts container

With a weight capacity of 2,000 pounds, the Ropak 3A30 folding container packs small to medium-size parts at high density. The container comes with hinged drop doors and a dimpled re-label area molded into the sidewall. It is available in both a four-way forklift entry version and conveyable version with two-way forklift entry.

Sensor recognizes characters

The CVS4 optical character recognition (OCR) sensor verifies date and serial codes for automated product quality control and traceability, an application normally reserved for more expensive equipment. The sensor can read up to 60 characters on six lines, providing flexibility in food and beverage markets where expanding regulations necessitate increased traceability. An onboard clock automatically updates itself for expected date code changes.

Space-saving conveyor has FDA-approved belt

With an FDA-approved plastic belt and an automated self-cleaning mechanism, the SpiralVeyor SH is capable of handling a variety of food industry applications using a compact accumulating conveyor design that saves floor space. The belt, reinforced by stainless steel crossbars to eliminate stretching common in some plastic belts, is made of very fine mesh and allows very small items to be transported. It's driven by a single drive on the end shaft.

Versatile, entry-level vision sensors

With the ability to inspect, measure, count, find features and compare patterns, DVT 515 and 535 vision sensors provide a broad range of automated quality control functions. Built in Ethernet connects the sensors to factory networks and Intellect software makes setup and integration easy. Despite being the lowest cost sensor in the DVT line, the 515 and 535 are capable of defect detection and high resolution and color applications.

Plastic pallet resists fire

Molded of flame retardant polymers, the universal pallet with flame edge provides the durability, long life and reusability of plastic pallets while adding a dimension of fire resistance that can prevent costly warehouse sprinkler upgrades. Steel reinforcing rods give it the strength to perform heavy applications with a capacity up to 2,800 pounds. Angled four-way entry points guide fork tines for easy handling from every direction. It has a ventilated top deck with ergonomic hand holds and a replaceable bottom deck.

Print/apply labels to 15 cartons a minute

Model 5200 printer/applicator combines high-resolution printing and fast corner label application in one machine. It produces bar codes and graphic images at 230 or 300 dpi. Optional RFID features encode inlays to meet specifications for generation 1 and 2 EPC protocols. The system delivers up to 15, 4-inch wide labels a minute.
