High-speed crossbelt sorter
The S-3000CB crossbelt sorter offers accurate, high-speed transportation and sortation of items that are fragile and hard-to-grip. The sorter can be customized to any facility size. Driven by individual, motorized belted carriers, the sorter offers horizontal item discharge and induction. Carriers accelerate to match induction speeds. Sort discharge can be optimized to specific product specifications rather than averaged across a range of product. The S-3000CB runs at a maximum operating speed of 472 feet per minute at 65 dBA. Small footprint printer
The SLP 440 label printer combines a small footprint with 300 dpi thermal printing, 2D bar coding and enhanced networking and graphics. With an extensive label size range up to 218 inch wide, the printer makes labels for various containers, generating each label in just 2 seconds. The SmartCapture feature allows users to grab text from standard desktop programs for easy output labeling. The printer runs natively on Power PC, Intel-based Macintosh systems and most common Windows platforms. Seiko Instruments, 800-688-0817, www.siibusinessproducts.com.
RFID military compliance solution
The RFID military compliance solution offers a quick and cost-efficient way to meet Department of Defense mandates by using a supplemental RFID label that is encoded with a unique identification code. The code is printed as a bar code and in human readable characters. During the shipping process, the supplemental RFID label is affixed to cartons or pallets in proximity to the MSL label. Suppliers scan or key MSL data and the unique number from the supplemental RFID label into the DoD DD250 Web-based purchase order management system at the time of shipment preparation. The RFID labels measure 4 x 2 inches and use Avery Dennison Class 1 inlays. Avery Dennison, 215-728-8054, www.ris.averydennison.com.
Move heavy loads with hand truck
The PST 5000 hand pallet truck is designed with power start technology. Featuring a power transfer from the handle to the steering wheel, the truck helps operators overcome the forces of inertia. Lifting or lowering the truck's handle causes the steering wheel to rotate and the truck to accelerate. The truck can move loads up to 5,000 pounds and is available with 36, 42, and 48 inch fork lengths. Lift-Rite, 905-456-2603, www.liftrite.com.
Flexible storage
With 2,000 standard sizes and the ability to fit in standard shelving, carousels and flow rack, containers with hopper fronts provide flexible storage solutions. The containers are available in 10 colors and have capacities ranging from 25 to 150 pounds. They are ergonomically designed to maximize pick rate and the open fronts increase access and visibility. Dividers, label holders, handles and covers are optional. Flexcon, 973-467-3323, www.flexcontainer.com.
