Lift trucks

U.S. and Canadian orders for lift trucks have been rising steadily since 2003, but that growth is expected to flatten out this year. Lift truck technology continues to improve, however, with microprocessors, AC motors, operator-detection systems and other innovations becoming standard features. Cleaner and more reliable power systems are also on the way, with hydrogen- and hybrid-powered trucks under development.
