By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 3/1/2007

Integrated system built on Microsoft.NET

Integrated Logistics Solutions software provides mid-size to tier 1 companies a flexible and easy-to-use solution of supply chain execution capabilities at a lower total cost of ownership. Built on Microsoft .NET, viewer screens may be personalized, allowing each end user to view data and monitor job-specific tasks. Other highlights include enhanced crossdocking and flow through capabilities, optimized yard management, license plate tracking, voice picking and continued expansion of performance management, slotting optimization, and labor management capabilities. Design a pallet handling system on your PC

The System 500 Configurator supports online planning and designing of a pallet handling system on a standard Windows PC. It designs internal transport systems for heavy pallets, roll containers and work piece carriers up to 4,400 pounds. The system creates new projects and edits existing ones, checks project details, and works from bitmap layout blueprints as a planning template. Screen views show a 2D birdseye view. For multiple-level systems, each level represents its own individual project. Gebhardt Foerdertechnik GmbH, +49 (0) 7261-939-0, www.gebhardt-foerdertechnik.de.

Order fulfillment software

The latest version of PickDirector order fulfillment software increases performance speed and accuracy. The upgrade operates multiple order fulfillment technologies on one software platform. Technologies supported include light-directed pick-to-light and put-to-light picking, voice-directed picking, pick carts and radio frequency directed picking through a single platform. Display screens track order details, status, progress and other factors to help dynamically adjust the number of orderpickers in a zone. Dematic, 877-725-7500, www.dematic.us.
