Logistics Manager was cited among the five hottest jobs for college graduates in a recent issue of Parade magazine, the Sunday insert distributed in millions of U.S. newspapers. The report defined a logistics manager as someone who "plans, implements and controls the flow of goods" and gave a salary range of $35,000 to $118,000.
A recent survey conducted by Modern's sister publication Logistics Management shows top logistics salaries can reach even higher, and the average salary for logistics professionals in 2006 was $80,000.
Only 14% of the survey respondents were between 26 and 34 years old, prompting the magazine to conclude the logistics field is "likely to be fertile ground for young job hunters."

| Supply chain manager | $96,000 |
| Operations manager | $75,000 |
| Warehouse manager/supervisor | $64,000 |
