Stackers end manual lifting, transport

Three models of battery-powered stackers generate propulsion and lift, eliminating manual lifting and transporting of heavy loads. The stackers' steerable, power drive controls forward and reverse movement at variable speeds. For precision steering in confined areas, the stackers integrate 180-degree hinged construction. A platform model lifts to 80 inches, and a counterbalanced model handles up to 1,000 pounds. A 2,000-pound capacity model lifts to 86 inches. Other features include a spring-loaded mechanism to compensate for uneven floors, automatic emergency safety switch and two sealed batteries. Transfer cars for pallet handling

Traveling from station to station on a straight, fixed track, motorized transfer cars replace pallet conveyors and right angle transfers. The cars may also serve as the end-of-line conveyor for multiple production lines. The systems move at speeds up to 400 feet per minute with multiple induction and discharge points. Features include one or two chain or chain-driven live roller (CDLR) conveyor stations per unit, flanged wheels, bus bar power supply, laser guided positioning, wireless communications and onboard programmable logic controls. The cars carry up to 3,500 pounds for a single-station unit and 7,000 pounds for a dual-station unit. FKI Logistex, 877-935-4564, www.fkilogistex.com.

Move heavy loads ergonomically

Reducing the risk of accidents and injuries associated with pushing and pulling heavy carts, the ERGOtug transporter moves materials, carts, containers and merchandise. The heavy-duty unit features proportional speed control and center drive wheels. The battery-driven transporter moves heavy, awkward loads weighing up to 1,600 pounds through tight spaces.
