Reduce side-by-sides
To minimize side-by-side cartons on a typical package handling conveyor system, the Unscrambler is a low-cost, small footprint unscrambling unit that creates additional space between products. This reduces downstream recirculation, mis-sorts and no reads. The system may be retrofitted into existing systems without sacrificing accumulation conveyor. Engineered for quiet operation and ease of maintenance, the system's smaller footprint helps existing systems achieve higher productivity levels to optimize system throughput. Intelligrated.
Sliding shoe sorter adds small-item slats
As an upgrade to the supplier's previous model, the UniSort VII entry-level sliding shoe sorter includes an all-electric switching system for quieter operation. A new conveying surface option of aluminum slats for small-item sortation is now offered as an alternative to the standard metal tubes previously included. Other features include a 30-degree divert angle, 350 feet-per-minute operating speed, sortation for single-sided and dual-sided applications, and a choice of control systems (PLC-based or BOSS PC-based). It features standard widths. FKI Logistex.
Right angle transfer
Capable of handling U.S. Post Office pallets without a slave pallet, the model 991D mechanical right angle transfer conveyor features four-way pallet transfer operation. The conveyor uses a combination of chains and close roller centers, allowing forward, left, right or backward movement. Constructed of heavy duty structural and formed steel, the conveyor has a 3,500 pound maximum load capacity, a standard speed of 40 to 60 feet per minute, and uses standard industrial-type components for easy replacement. Westfalia Technologies.
Powered accumulation conveyor
The PosiGrip powered, non-contact, zero pressure accumulation conveyor system is available in several configurations, including motor driven, motorized roller driven, zero pressure accumulation and driven roller curves. Lifting gates and popup transfer lifts are offered. Sizes range from 18 to 45 inch widths and 15 to 60 inch lengths. The conveyors move loads up to 400 pounds from 25 to 120 feet per minute with 2.5 or 3.75 inch roller centers. In all configurations, integrated roller drive gear teeth are powered by synchronous geared belting in a positive, non-slip drive configuration. Each motorized drive roller includes a drive card for speed adjustment in each zone to control product spacing. TKF.
Small roller transfer conveyor
The ProSort SRT small roller transfer conveyor with multiple narrow belts is equipped with right-angle pop-up rollers to transport items. To transfer items off either side of the conveyor, the rollers pop up between the belts. The conveyor transfers small to medium-size items including boxes, cartons and totes at least 4 x 4 inches and weighing less than 20 pounds. Depending on product size, the conveyor handles up to 100 sorts a minute. Hytrol Conveyor Company.
Narrow belt sortation
Sorting up to 200 cartons per minute, the Turbo sortation system uses wave technology and the supplier's Commander controls for throughput without sliding shoe sorters. While running at high rates, the narrow belt sortation system's aligner positions cartons for two-way diverting while maintaining consistent gap spacing and operation rates. TGW-Ermanco.
Plastic chain belt conveyors
Flextrac plastic chain belt conveyors move heavy loads quickly over long distances. With load capacities up to 500 pounds and speeds reaching 375 feet per minute, the conveyors come in a standard length of 30 feet with 100 foot lengths optional. To fit in tight spaces, the low profile measures 2.41 inches and 3.03 inches at the drive end. Widths from 4 to 24 inches are offered, as are a range of side profile options for product containment. Features include wear strips and center supports for long belt life and quiet operation, and maintenance-free bearings with permanent micro-poly lubricant. QC Industries.
Conveyor controller
The Telemecanique Modicon M340 programmable automation controller for conveyor applications offers real-time logic solving, communication, motion, database and manipulation capabilities in multiple programming environments. Featuring a single development platform with common tagging and a single database for multiple tasks, the PAC provides control with simple setup and implementation. Configured with the supplier's software suite that offers a choice of five IEC languages, graphic programming and advanced online help, the controller offers up to 16 MB of internal memory, 256 KB data capacity and application management up to 70 K instructions. Schneider Electric.
Magnetic conveyance
Belt-free magnetic conveyors move stamping scraps, knockouts, chips and turnings from metal working machinery. The belt-free design does not jam, tear or wear prematurely. Internal magnetic assemblies attached to heavy-duty roller chain travel around the inside of the conveyor body, projecting a magnetic field through the stainless steel conveying surface. This attracts parts and scraps to the surface, transporting ferrous objects along the stainless steel slider bed to the point of discharge. Puritan Magnetics.
Extendable conveyor
For loading and unloading packages in high throughput operations, the Docksider motor-driven roller extendable conveyor features a continuous elevation roller surface. This surface eliminates the vertical step between stages and allows the conveyor to be reversible. Powered by a 24 volt DC motor for quiet operation, the portable system integrates two-roller transfer. Dual operator controls and reversing are standard. Options include slider section side guards, roller brake, coated rollers, run on demand operation and heavy gauge rollers. Simplex Conveyor.
DC-powered roller conveyor
Providing safe, quiet, economical conveyance, the 24 volt DC-powered roller conveyor offers motion on-demand, modular zone and section lengths, and plug-and-play electrics. With factory pre-wired drive power, o-ring driven rollers, and singulation and slug release, the conveyor's flexible, modular design is energy-efficient and low maintenance. Running at 200 feet per minute, the conveyor generates 60 decibels of noise. Featuring two- and three-inch power rollers rated for 15,000 hours, the system is offered in five standard widths: 16, 20, 24, 30 and 36 inches. At a standard height of 6.75 inches, the conveyor's 10 and 12 gauge frames are pre-punched with roller axle patterns, drive module, photoelectric sensor and reflector spaces. HK Systems.
Angled roller belt
To increase productivity through accurate positioning of cases, boxes and packages, the modular plastic series 400 angled roller belt uses built-in rollers that protrude beyond the top and bottom of the belt. A range of package dimensions and characteristics, including strapped or tied, fragile, and non-standard shapes, can be aligned. The belt relies on fewer moving parts, reducing the labor required to correct line stops and clear case jams, extending equipment life and eliminating belt mistracking. Intralox.
