On Thursday, Nov. 1, Intermec and Modern Materials Handling will jointly host a free, one-hour Webinar to discuss results from Aberdeen Group's recent study “High Performance Strategies for Optimizing the Warehouse,” and to examine how companies are leveraging new technologies to increase efficiency and accuracy in the warehouse.
The Webinar, "Productivity Unleashed: Top Technologies for the Warehouse of the Future-Today" begins live at 12:00 p.m. EST and features editor-in-chief of Modern Materials Handling Tom Andel and director of consumer goods and industrial marketing for Intermec Jon Rasmussen.
Andel and Rasmussen will review economic and technological trends driving investment in logistics solutions. In addition to addressing the purchasing plans of companies in retail and industrial sectors, the program will spotlight specific technologies, including:
- area imaging
- speech recognition
- RFID, and
- lift truck advancements.
The analysis will include a look at how top-performing warehouse managers are wringing more accuracy and efficiency out of existing warehouses. Also discussed will be a report on warehouse management system (WMS) features being adopted by world-class companies—and what that could mean to the productivity of WMS users in all industries.
