Supply chain management software provider TECSYS announced today it has acquired Streamline Information Systems for about $1.4 million.
Streamline, which primarily sells its enterprise software in the industrial distribution sector, will become a division of TECSYS. Both companies are based in Canada and have customers in Canada and the United States.
“We made the decision over a year ago to become tightly focused on specific profitable vertical markets within the supply chain execution space,” says Peter Brereton, president and CEO of TECSYS. “Streamline fits right into this, with an excellent solution and unique expertise for industrial distributors that will strengthen our major push into this sector.”
Brereton says the acquisition will result in an additional 80 accounts for TECSYS. Those Streamline clients, he says, will benefit from improved support, additional product offerings and the opportunity to tap into his company’s research and development resources.
Montreal-based TECSYS offers warehouse management and transportation management systems for midsized companies. Customers include King Par Golf, Schenker Canada and aspirin-maker Bayer.
