Building an environmentally friendly supply chain will be the emphasis this spring at NA 2008, the materials handling and logistics conference and trade show. Several “green” educational sessions are scheduled during the four-day event:
- Keynote speaker Andrew Winston will describe how smart companies turn green to gold
- Dave Hommrich of software supplier Manhattan Associates will give a seminar: “A Green Supply Chain: A Win-Win Operationally and Environmentally”
- Representatives of CHEP and Norseman Plastics will give seminars on reusable pallets and other packaging
- A panel of experts will offer tips on handling returned products in environmentally friendly ways
In addition, several exhibitors on the trade show floor will be showcasing the environmental benefits of their products.
The show opens April 21 in Cleveland’s IX Center and will include 500 exhibits and 70 educational sessions. The Material Handling Industry of America sponsors the NA show in Cleveland every other year, alternating with the association’s larger Promat show in Chicago.
