Control maker Magnetek acquires Enrange
Acquisition broadens Magnetek's portfolio of wireless controls for overhead handling equipment.
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 2/6/2008
Wisconsin-based Magnetek, a manufacturer of power control systems for overhead handling equipment, announced today its acquisition of Pennsylvania-based Enrange.
Enrange is a wireless control manufacturer providing radio remote controls for the material handling, industrial, hydraulic and rock mining industries. Its controls serve a broad range of applications, including overhead cranes, monorails, automatic guided vehicles, gates, doors, mining equipment and conveyors.
The acquisition broadens Magnetek’s wireless control offerings, says company executive Perry Pabich, and allows the company to penetrate additional markets.
Enrange will continue to operate out of its Canonsburg, Pa., facility. Current Enrange president Chris Dulin will lead product marketing and wireless controls research and development for all of Magnetek’s radio control product lines.
