Welcome to NA 2008, the largest and most comprehensive international material handling and logistics show held in North America this year.
By James Robertson, MHIA Vice Chairman, Marketing and Events -- Modern Materials Handling, 4/21/2008 7:17:00 AM
At NA 2008 you will see the best-in-class manufacturing and supply chain solutions from more than 500 exhibiting companies and 70 educational sessions.
The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) wants to make it as easy as possible to find the products and solutions that interest you and address your operational and supply chain challenges. That’s why we’re offering Exhibitor Solution Locator Kiosks. These kiosks allow you to search exhibitors and products displayed on the large show floor, as well as create and print a personalized report. These kiosks, along with e-mail kiosks, are located at the Green Pavilion directly behind the Ferris wheel in the center of the show floor.
Speaking of the Green Pavilion, welcome to Earth Day at NA 2008! Today’s NA 2008 Keynote address will feature “Green to Gold” author Andrew Winston, who will provide a blueprint for how forward-thinking companies can address critical environmental issues, from climate change to energy to water, as well as how to improve their manufacturing and supply chain performance, gain competitive advantage, and increase profits. The Keynote will be held on today at 8:45 a.m. in the I-X Center Ballroom.
From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Andrew Winston will sign copies of his best-selling book “Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage” in the Green Pavilion. Also, in the Green Pavilion, you can access information on how to make your manufacturing and supply chain operations sustainable.
I hope that your visit to NA 2008 is both informative and productive, and that during the next three days you will find solutions to your productivity and profitability challenges through better material handling and logistics.
