TranSystems and Gross & Assoc. announce merger
Deal helps TranSystems broaden its service offerings to include more “inside-the-box” expertise.

Supply chain consulting firm TranSystems announced today the completion of a merger with Gross & Associates, a New Jersey-based consulting firm well respected for its expertise in materials handling.
TranSystems has 45 offices throughout the Unites States providing engineering, architecture and planning services; management and supply chain consulting; real estate consulting; and security services.
“The reputation of this firm further enhances our drive to have TranSystems become a household name in the supply chain management field,” says Scott Pribula, president of TranSystems’ management and supply chain consulting division. “Gross & Associates’ expertise in optimizing operations ‘inside the box’ and its broad resume in consumer goods will provide new revenue streams for our clients and widen our current client base.”
Geoff Sisko, senior vice president at Gross & Associates, adds, “We have always wanted to broaden the scope of services that we could provide to our clients, particularly in transportation. This merger allows us to increase the service offerings even more than we ever imagined.”
The deal is the latest in a series of mergers for TranSystems, including last April’s merger with Toledo-based ESYNC and a 2005 merger with materials handling simulation provider Automation Associates.
TranSystems isn’t the only supply chain consulting firm boosting its capabilities through mergers and acquisitions. Tompkins Associates has made two acquisitions already this year, scooping up Supply Chain Executive Advisors in January and Technomic Asia in February.
