Scanners read 2D and HD bar codes

Two versions of the 3800g linear bar code scanner read specialized 2D and HD bar codes, making them ideal for manufacturing. Features include an ergonomic and durable housing with no moving parts and Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.0. The 3800gPDF reads 2D PDF417 bar codes and standard linear bar codes, while the 3800gHD is optimized for close range scanning of small, high-density bar codes. The scanners read damaged, dirty or poorly printed bar codes. To ensure accuracy, a crisp, thin aiming line ensures reads where bar codes are packed tightly together, while an adjustable "good read" beep confirms a successful scan. Thermal transfer label printers

The H-400/H-600 series thermal transfer product identification and bar code label printers are offered in 203 or 300 dpi models. The printers handle 4-inch and 6-inch wide labels. Featuring durable, all-metal construction with a cast aluminum center wall for added strength, the printers include a large media window for easy viewing and monitoring of supplies. A high-speed USB 2.0 interface for fast data transfer and a real-time clock for time and date stamping of labels are included standard. The stripper sensor on the H-400 can be used for either strip-and-peel or tear-off applications. Tharo Systems, 800-878-6833, www.tharo.com.

Tray/shrink system for food, beverage use

With upgrades to the user interface, wrapping wand and film feed module, the 296TS Continuum tray/shrink system is a user-friendly, easy-to-maintain packaging solution for 24/7 food and beverage applications. Featuring an intuitive graphic operator interface, the system's diagnostic program directs the operator to a fault screen in the event of a problem and provides automatic scheduled maintenance alerts. The heavy-duty, stainless steel frame is protected by transparent guarding and allows the system's parts to remain visible. On-demand wrapping eliminates continuous cycle operation to reduce wear and tear. The system runs up to 80 trays per minute. Standard-Knapp, 860-342-1100, www.standard-knapp.com.

Universally compatible tear drop storage rack

With 2-inch vertical adjustability, the fully welded uprights of this rack are roll-formed in either four- or six-bend column profiles. The larger six-bend columns are formed with 180-degree return flanges and are available in 3 x 3 and 4 x 3-inch profiles. The four-bend columns are standard in 3 x 1-5/8 and 3 x 2-1/4-inch profiles. All uprights feature weld-on baseplates, a center reinforcing column rib and heavier bracing for added strength and rigidity as well as better impact resistance. Non-contact accumulation conveyance

The PosiGrip accumulation conveyor can be configured to move product around any degree of curve while maintaining non-contact, zero pressure accumulation. The system is ideal for the food and beverage, automotive and glass industries. Accumulation zones are driven by motorized rollers, each with a drive card for easy speed adjustment. Zones can be individually controlled for specific assembly areas and are offered in various widths. The roller drive gear teeth are formed directly into the rollers and powered by synchronous belting in a positive drive. For quiet operation, the rollers are belt-driven to eliminate metal-to-metal contact. TKF, 513-241-5910, www.TKF.com.

Casters for low-profile use

Three models of business machine casters with glass-filled, nylon construction wheels handle load capacities of 500, 700 and 1,200 pounds. The casters offer heavy weight capabilities and maximum rolling ease in applications where low height allowances affect stability and balance. Built to easily move heavy, compact equipment, the low-profile units all measure 3 inches in diameter with an ergonomic, smooth riding 1.8125 inch tread width. The load height on all of the casters is 4.125 inches. Colson Caster, 800-645-5515, www.colsoncaster.com.

High-strength, high-capacity flow rack

This adaptive flow rack structure combines heavy duty handling and storage capacity with simple gravity-fed point-of-use part/container conveyance. Constructed from component parts—plastic coated sturdy steel pipes, joints and hardware accessories—the rack has 1,500 pounds capacity. Secured to the floor with stanchion mount feet, the rack ensures consistent placement, alignment and stability. Measuring 66 x 33 x 63 inches, the racks feature four supply levels of three lanes across with empty container return lanes overhead. Creform, 800-839-8823, www.creform.com.
