As part of its stated strategy to grow organically and through other product lines, supply chain software provider HighJump acquired BelTek Systems Design, a provider of direct-store delivery (DSD) software.

The acquisition of BelTek strengthens HighJump Software's DSD platform for route accounting and mobile sales and delivery, according to a statement. It also expands their industry reach. HighJump's DSD customers are primarily focused in the soft drink, beer, wine and spirits, bakery, snack, candy and tobacco industries. BelTek brings in new industries, including packaged ice, linens and uniforms.

This move complements HighJump's earlier acquisition of DSD provider Global Beverage, which gave the company a market leading position in DSD.
