Global ID Technologies Ltd, headquartered in Attalens, Switzerland, first appeared last November as a worldwide supplier of radio frequency identification (RFID) components, products, and complete identification solutions.

During ProMat 2001, Global ID Technologies, Inc. announced the inauguration of its North America operation based in Wilmington, Del.

Through a network of subsidiary companies and partners, the new operation will offer a complete range of RFID services. "We want to go after vertical markets, with materials handling being one of them," says John W. Larned, chief executive officer at Global ID Technologies, Inc.
