Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 6/1/2001
Family-run Accu-Sort Systems (www.accusort.com ), which provides engineered automatic data capture solutions, has changed leadership. After 30 years, Albert (Al) Wurz, founder, president, and chief executive officer has taken on the full-time role of chairman of the board.
As the new chief executive officer, Ronald Wurz will be responsible for overall management of the company. As chief operating officer, David Wurz will take on responsibility for the research and development, engineering, software development, and manufacturing of the company. According to the restructuring plan, the two will swap jobs in 18 months.
Steve Luscinski will continue as chief financial officer and will oversee all administrative and general management duties. Stan Sroka, will take over all of the systems operations as senior vice president of systems integration.
"In the past we have been customer-driven. We will now take on a broader perspective by putting strategies in plan that involve senior management and customers," Ron says.
Going forward, Ron says Accu-Sort plans on becoming a more aggressive company and that includes internationally.
