Sortation system

A small-footprint sortation solution is for small- and medium-sized applications that process up to 4,000 packages and parcels an hour. The compact singulator enables bulk load packages to be unloaded quickly, separated, and then arranged for more efficient sorting. It has two incline belts that separate the stacks of parcels and packages. Once the flow has been reduced to a single layer, optical cameras record the item positions and determine the best way to separate the flow into a single-file stream. When singulation is complete, the stream of items is easily integrated into the automated induct of a variety of sorters.

More storage in less space

A deep-lane storage system provides first-in/ first-out high-density product storage. When pallets are deposited in the storage system, the gravity flow design allows pallets to automatically travel to and accumulate at the discharge end. The system stores more pallets in less space than other systems. Storage of food, automotive parts, paper, and pharmaceuticals is well suited to the first-in/first-out concept.

Variable frequency drive that's machine-mountable

A new Interbus-compatible variable frequency drive (VFD) has been added to a line of direct machine-mount motor starters. The IP67-rated VFD provides a solution for applications that require speed control of three-phase motors. It is rated for 480VAC and offers a local, lockable disconnect switch. The base mounts to the machine, making the drive unit pluggable for ease of servicing. Easy to read, local LEDs inform the service personnel about current status or fault conditions. Added information is available via the Interbus network for the PLC, PC, or VME-based host system.
