Beacon Towable Yard Ramp

A High Speed Yard Ramp used as a towable loading dock platform to remote locations for loading and unloading procedures for tractor trailers and railroad cars.

The Beacon World Class Towable Yard Ramp is designed for portability on the road to get to a location when no loading dock is available. Increasing work efficiency and allowing for loading and unloading tractor trailers and rail cars at remote locations. Unlike most yard ramps that are designed to be slowly moved and positioned in the yard usually at a 5 mph tow limit, this unit is designed to be towed down the road at a max speed of 45 mph to its loading and staging area. Specifically engineered as a Towable Yard Ramp, for use with forklifts.

Features welded steel construction. Yard Ramp capacities available as 16,000, 20,000, 25,000 and 30,000 lbs. Safety 4” high curbs standard with overall widths available in 72” to 85” and usable widths from 66” to 78”. Lengths come in 2 sizes; either an all inclined 30’ ramp or 36’ overall length which includes a 30’ incline with a 6’ level off, both units include a 16” lip. The ramp size should be specified when ordering. Fender tire guards are standard. Painted a neutral Beacon earth tone brown. Other colors available upon request.

Mobile design includes 27” pneumatic tires. The wheel package operates with a hydraulic hand pump mounted under the ramp that is easily accessed with a removable lift handle. Pneumatic tires are raised up when the ramp is positioned and resting on the trailer or rail car bed, during loading and unloading. In addition, a manual hand crank adjustable leg set, with 9” steel wheels, adjusts the ramp height and supports the Yard Ramp when not in use. Ramp service range height is 45” to 62”. This Towable Yard Ramp comes with a Lighting package that includes running lights, brake lights and a turn flasher kit. The Tow package includes a 2-5/16” diameter ball hitch receiver. Supplied with two safety chains as backup to keep the ramp from coming loose during towing. Towing vehicle supplied by others.
