Borderless Business: How Electronic Postage Technology Demystifies International Shipping

The sage adage “Think globally, act locally” has never been more relevant to businesses – especially those that ship goods. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, roughly 96 percent of the world’s consumers live outside the United States – holding two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power.

Online auction giant eBay® reports that 50 percent of its registered buyers live outside the United States. With ecommerce on the rise, and the Internet making the world smaller (85 percent of global Internet users shop online), businesses are missing significant revenue opportunities if they are not venturing into international trade waters.
