CEMA reports booked orders for October decreased 11.6% from 2011 orders

Shipments up 17.1% compared to October 2011.


The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its October 2012 Booked Orders decreased 11.6% when compared to October 2011 orders.

October 2012 booked orders when compared to September 2012 booked orders were up 14.3%. October Booked Orders were down 1.3% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 28.3% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to September.

CEMA’s October 2012 Billed Sales (shipments) increased by 17.1% when compared to October 2011 sales. October 2012 billed sales when compared to September 2012 billed sales were down 1.4%. October Billed Sales were down 5.5% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 1.6% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to September.
