Clark announces endowment fund for the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business

Endowment to provide financial support for faculty at the Gatton College of Business and Economics.

Clark Material Handling Company and the University of Kentucky have announced the reestablishment of a $250,000 endowment fund to be called the Clark Material Handling Company Endowment for Faculty Excellence.

The endowment will provide financial support for faculty at the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. Awards will be made by the Dean of the Gatton College for a professorship or faculty fellowships, with preference given to individuals historically underrepresented in international business, quality management systems and material management.

“This endowment program, part of Clark’s ongoing relationship with Kentucky’s flagship institution of higher learning, the University of Kentucky, will help build skills in areas of increasing importance to American businesses,” said Dennis Lawrence, president and CEO of CLARK. “We are proud to be partners with the University of Kentucky and the Gatton College of Business and Economics.”

“We are grateful to partner with a forward-thinking company like Clark to continue building both the quality and diversity of our Gatton College faculty,” said David W. Blackwell, dean of the Gatton College of Business & Economics. “This endowment funding will allow us to prepare even more principled business leaders for the Commonwealth and beyond, who are ready to contribute immediately to their companies, and to compete in a changing world market.”
