Conveyors: CEMA announces new member

Flow-Turn is the 116th member of the organization and the 100th manufacturing member.

Flow-Turn, a global manufacturer of powered belt curves and spiral inclines/declines, is now a member of CEMA (the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association). Flow-Turn is the 116th member of the organization and the 100th manufacturing member, according to CEMA.

PSC Floturn began operation in Syosset, N.Y., in 1981. Rod Chrysler started the company that designed and manufactured belted systems for special conveyors.

In 1989, PSC Floturn moved to its current location in Union, N.J. specializing in belted curve conveyors. First the company offered chain-driven belted conveyors for curves and spirals; then added a patented flat top curve without a chain drive.

In February 2011, the company was acquired by a partnership of Hermann Miedel and Partner. The company operates under Flow-Turn with the same product offerings.
