“It is vital that the ISO 9001 QMS certification cover all aspects involved in the implementation of an automated material handling system: design, manufacturing, installation, and servicing” says Stuart Benson, Quality Systems Engineer at Dematic. “As an engineering company that provides high performance warehouse logistics systems, it is important to capture the entire process in the ISO 9001 QMS certification.” Dematic is unique among warehouse logistics systems solution providers to have earned this comprehensive ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification that includes solution design, manufacturing, installation, and service.

Operating using the ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System assures that Dematic conforms to International Quality System standards. For users of Dematic engineered system solutions, it means the company is focused on satisfying customer requirements by utilizing a standardized, reliable, and robust engineering process that promotes a quality outcome. Furthermore, it means Dematic is required to demonstrate ongoing, continuous improvement.

ISO 9001 is a set of basic business principles written in a standard format for quality management systems that is accepted around the world. Currently, businesses in more than 100 countries have adopted the ISO 9001 international standard. The standard is intended for the Quality Management System assessments and registrations to ISO 9001. The standards apply uniformly to organizations of any size or description.
