The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported this week that the average price per gallon of diesel gasoline fell for the fourth time in five weeks.
With a 2 cent decrease, the current average price per gallon now stands at $2.482, following last week’s 1.7 cent increase to $2.502 and three weeks of declines prior to that, which saw prices drop a total of 7.1 cents during that span.
Compared to the same week a year ago, the average price per gallon is down $1.179.
Oil was trading at $41.92 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange as of this morning.
