Fortna hires new VP of human resources

Appointment of veteran leader coincides with deployment of new human capital management system.

Fortna has announced the hiring of Gary C. McKinney as vice president of human resources.

The company also announced it will implement SAP SuccessFactors Human Capital Management Suite to drive alignment and productivity. McKinney will drive strategic leadership and operational excellence in all areas of human resources. A business leader and human capital expert with global experience, he joined Fortna from Clearlake Capital and Valerus LP, where he managed all aspects of the human resources value chain.

“Gary’s human resources leadership and experience with high-growth companies will be great assets as we continue to grow in a fiercely competitive market,” said John A. White III, president and CEO of Fortna. “Attracting and developing the best talent goes hand in hand with our commitment to service excellence. As we continue to be an employer of choice in our market, Gary will make a tremendous contribution to our recruiting, training and development, and recognition and rewards programs.”

To give Fortna associates access to a single, global, on-demand system for all their people management needs, Fortna also announced it will implement SAP SuccessFactors solutions, which will include easy access to Fortna’s custom training curriculum.

“Fortna is clearly the place to work in our industry,” McKinney said. “Our HR strategy is focused on having the right associates, in the right place, and at the right time. SAP SuccessFactors solutions will help us with our end-to-end talent management process – from recruitment to performance management to career planning – and will help Fortna continue to be the place to work in our industry.”
