Frommelt Safety to change product line

Starting in April, the company will concentrate manufacturing efforts on its industry-leading machine guarding products, which include automated barrier doors, industrial fencing and retractable curtains for robotic and automated welding processes.

Frommelt Safety Products will streamline its product line beginning April 1, 2014. From that date forward, the company will concentrate manufacturing efforts on its industry-leading machine guarding products, which include automated barrier doors, industrial fencing and retractable curtains for robotic and automated welding processes. As a result, weld curtain, screen and blanket products will be phased out of production.

“We remain very committed to the welding industry,” said Frommelt Safety National Sales & Marketing Manager Eric Esson. “By focusing on our R & D and manufacturing efforts on machine guarding, we can better serve our welding industry customers and expand into new and emerging applications for our machine guarding doors.”

Industrial machine guarding products that Frommelt Safety and its parent company, Rite-Hite, will continue to manufacture include the Guardian Defender, Flashfold, Vertiguard, SlideAir, Rollshield, Rollshield Side-To-Side, X-Ten, and Roboguard Fence. The company will discontinue the following production of weldcurtains and related hardware, high-temperature blankets and covers, welding screens and related hardware, roll goods, and all personal protection related items as of March 31, 2014.

Frommelt Safety will continue to support and manufacture the non-machine guarding products through March 31, 2014, with final shipments by April 30, 2014.
