Hannibal Industries (Booth 659), the North American master distributor for shelving products from Metalsistem, announced at a Monday press conference the launch of a stocking distributor program for the United States.

Metalsistem is an Italian maker of adjustable shelving with a durable type of galvanized finish that has a zinc coating, said Steve Rogers, VP of sales for Hannibal. With various decking and beam options, and other component-based features, the shelving can be configured to meet many needs, said Rogers.

“We’ll be seeking the right type of partners for this growth opporunity,” added Rogers. “They’ll have to invest in some inventory and some training to properly configure solutions, but they’ll also have our sales support and support with inventory needs as the master distributor.”

Rogers said the Metalsistem line is used in many industrial markets needing highly adjustable shelving, and also is seeing use in residences. Options such as drawers or bins give the shelving appeal for Kanban locations or industrial storage of tooling or small parts, noted Rogers, while the attractive zinc coating has helped the product line in retail settings.
