Hannibal Industries (Booth 6740) formed a strategic partnership with Twinlode Corp. to create the new Gen 2 racking product. The double-wide rack structure uses Hannibal’s patent-pending tubular rack, engineered to better withstand seismic and impact events.
“TubeRack’s dual-moment frame features a horizontal-bolt-together modular design to handle more capacity with less steel in many instances,” said Steve Rogers, VP of Hannibal Industries. “Due to both front-to-back and side-to-side flexibility, the entire system absorbs an impact without shedding the pallets of product stored in it.”
Because the tube racking’s lighter weight and modular construction allows more rack to be loaded on a truck or in a container, the freight savings have been attractive, particularly for overseas installations, added Lawrence Eastman, president of Twinlode.
“We’ve already installed a variety of Twinlode Gen 2 configurations—including our Twinlode product, pallet flow, carton flow and multi-level pick modules—including multiple national and international installations for major beverage corporations,” Eastman said.
