During a Tuesday press conference, Hyster (Booth 2927) unveiled a new product designed for optimal fuel efficiency, productivity and total cost of ownership.
The H50XT will be available with a PSI 2.4L dual-fuel engine featuring Hyster’s Variable Power Technology, which includes selectable performance modes that allow customers to maximize productivity or fuel economy to fit specific application requirements. Michele Corini, VP of counterbalanced development for Hyster, said the series is also designed for ease of serviceability.
“About 50% of applications fall between light-to-medium duty and medium-to-heavy duty,” he said. “The new series addresses what our customers have asked us for: a competitively priced lift truck that operates in a variety of applications.”
Available for order soon, the new XT truck series will be offered in 4,000-, 5,000- and 6,000-pound models.
Hyster also showcased its latest Tier 4 Final-compliant container handler, which features a 9-liter Cummins engine developed in a joint project to achieve 20% fuel savings.
