Kardex Remstar’s redesigned horizontal carousel debuts

Highlighting a more simplified design, new carriers and shelves, Kardex Remstar’s (Booth 4735) Chelsea Tarr, marketing communications coordinator, unveiled the company’s newly redesigned horizontal carousel in a press conference on Monday.

“The changes make the unit more flexible, easier to install and infinitely adjustable to keep pace with future growth,” she said.

Consisting of an oval track supporting rotating bins with shelves, the machine works on the goods-to-person principle, bringing stored item bins directly to the operator at the touch of a button.

“The new design requires fewer parts for faster installation,” she added. “Also, the new carriers and shelves can be configured in twice as many positions due to smaller carrier spacing, and can be easily re-adjusted as product are re-slotted.”
