As managers look to develop and optimize manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations, solutions for improving and simplifying complex supply chain processes are becoming a greater necessity in attaining these mission-critical objectives.

Radio frequency identification, or RFID as it is commonly known, is one of the technologies that users are embracing to evolve and facilitate their materials handling operational efficiencies. Yet interestingly, while adopters are able to claim the practicable benefits delivered by RFID applications, prospective users continue to take a wait-and-see position and still need validation that RFID is a viable solution for their operation.
