Lift’n Buddy hand truck helps lift, transport loads

Ergologistics (Booth 115), manufacturer of the Lift’n Buddy two-wheeled, electric hand truck with integrated automatic lifting function, showcased new developments in its product line since its debut at ProMat two years ago, explained Aaron Lamb, president.

Fabricated of durable, lightweight extruded aluminum, the Lift’n Buddy comes in two models capable of handling 250- or 500-pound loads. Customization options include single loop or dual-grip vinyl handles and 10-inch marking or non-marking full or semi-pneumatic tires.

“The latest enhancements to the product include a cylinder handling attachment that grips drums and kegs, a bumper mount that allows the hand truck to ride on the front or back of a fleet vehicle, and a self-supporting ‘kickstand’ that helps with pushing the loaded unit when it’s tilted,” said Lamb.

Further, Lamb noted a new intelligent lifting sensor that adds hands-free functionality to the hand truck. “We also offer a remote that enables semi-hands-free operation, so that the user can interact with the load as needed while the hand truck lifts and lowers the load as directed by the remote control,” he said.

ProMat 2013 is scheduled to be held January 21-24, 2013 in Chicago’s McCormick Place South. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete ProMat 2013 coverage.
