Lucas Systems (Booth 3538) introduced an expanded line of end-to-end warehouse mobile work execution solutions incorporating its Jennifer voice-directed applications for picking and other tasks in a press conference on Monday.
“We’re talking not just about equipping the mobile worker with state-of-the-art automation technology, but also wrapping that around our additional capabilities which allow people to do work optimization, process configuration and work orchestration capabilities complementing what the WMS and host systems are doing,” said Jennifer Lachenman, VP of product strategy.
The solutions give users the ability to manage and optimize the way work is being done on the floor at a higher level than before, she said.
“The systems allow DC managers to optimize their work execution process without making changes to their WMS,” Lachenman said, adding that all of the applications run on a range of smart phones, smart watches and other wearable devices and accessories—including Bluetooth headsets and bar code scanners.
