MHI: Welcome to ProMat 2013

As chairman of MHI and on behalf of our officers and members, it is my privilege to welcome you to ProMat 2013—the industry’s premier expo for manufacturing and supply chain innovation.

ProMat 2013 will be four days of non-stop solutions for your manufacturing, distribution and logistics operations. To make it easier for you to find the solutions you need, ProMat’s 800 exhibits are organized into convenient solution-specific centers: manufacturing and assembly solutions; information technology (IT) solutions; fulfillment and delivery solutions; and a knowledge center featuring 100 show floor educational seminars. The ProMat conference will also feature keynotes today, tomorrow and Wednesday morning that will explore many issues impacting supply chains and trade. Today, Henrik Christensen, KUKA chair of robotics and director of robotics at Georgia Tech, will discuss the new wave of robotics that is revolutionizing manufacturing and distribution operations at 8:45 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom, S100.

In addition, today we are announcing our first-ever ProMat Innovation Award winners. This award showcases new products and innovations presented by ProMat exhibitors. The winners will be chosen in two categories: Best New Innovation and Best Innovation of an Existing Product.
