MHIA: Solutions here truly make the supply chain work

I would like to take a few moments to introduce you to the sponsor of this event—The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA).

On behalf of the Board of Governors of Material Handling Industry I hope that you are finding your time at Modex 2012 to be both productive and enjoyable. I would like to take a few moments to introduce you to the sponsor of this event—The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA). Since 1945, MHIA has been the leading association in the United States representing the industry that produces material handing and logistics solutions—the “Solutions that Make the Supply Chain Work.”

The equipment, systems and software solutions of material handling and logistics very often hold the key to a productive and profitable supply chain. Material handling and logistics involves a broad array of equipment and systems that cut costs and improve organizational safety, productivity, quality, and visibility.

MHIA strives to maintain and stimulate the continuing growth of the industry by sponsoring world-class trade events, such as Modex 2012 and ProMat 2013 to showcase the best-in-class products and services of its member companies.

This morning’s keynote session features Georgia Tech’s Donald Ratliff on how supply chain and logistics performance impacts trade. The Keynote begins at 8:45 a.m. in Room 203. There is also a full list of show floor educational seminars and several collocated education partner events. Please refer to signage in the Modex registration area and the informational screens throughout Building C for the schedule of events.

MHIA’s member companies are industry leaders in providing solutions that make the supply chain work and many of them are exhibiting companies at Modex 2012. As you walk the show floor, you will experience the broad representation of the equipment, technology and services that comprise our industry. You will see all types of equipment, systems and services, basic and advanced. You will see the individual components necessary to construct a complete and successful material handling, supply chain and logistics system solution. That’s because Modex exhibitors represent the entire industry.

For more information on MHIA, our programs and member companies, please visit the Industry Resources Booth 5406 on the show floor or visit http://www.mhia.org.
