ProMat 2013: Innovation Award finalists announced

All finalists will be showcased on the show floor, with winners announced prior to Tuesday's keynote.

One week before the materials handling industry descends on Chicago’s McCormick Place, MHI has announced the finalists for the first-ever ProMat Innovation Award competition. The ProMat Innovation Award serves to educate and provide valuable insights on the latest manufacturing and supply chain innovative products and services to ProMat attendees. This award will be given to winners in two categories: Best New Innovation and Best Innovation of an Existing Product.

The contest defines innovation as a new product, product line, technology or service or new application of existing products or technology that create quantifiable and sustainable results in terms of ROI, cost savings and customer satisfaction. Over 74 companies and 78 innovations were submitted by ProMat exhibitors for the competition. All innovation award submissions will be showcased on the show floor.

Finalists will be evaluated by a committee of judges on the morning of Monday, January 21. The award winners will be announced on January 22 just prior to the ProMat keynote at 8:30 AM in McCormick Place S100.

ProMat 2013 is scheduled to be held January 21-24, 2013 in Chicago’s McCormick Place South. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete ProMat 2013 coverage.

The Board of ABB has unanimously appointed Ulrich Spiesshofer, the head of its Discrete Automation and Motion (DM) division, as Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Joe Hogan in this role in an orderly transition on September 15, 2013.
