Numina Group (Booth 4763) held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to announce that for the third year in a row, TGW has recognized Numina Group’s design and materials handling systems expertise in the utilization of TGW’s conveyors and sorters for order fulfillment automation.
“TGW manufactures the broadest family of conveyor technologies from line shaft, 24-volt DC modular roller, MDR conveyor, mid-speed to high-speed sorters coupled with a full staff of experienced design engineers that support our design efforts,” said Dan Hanrahan, president of Numina Group.
TGW has an “integrator-concentric business model,” added Hanrahan, which allows Numina Group to concentrate on what it does best, which is the software integration and warehouse control system (WCS) side of projects, while having access to conveyor system engineering expertise from TGW. “They don’t just sell hardware products, but the engineering resources for those products,” he said.
“We have a strong working relationship that allows the TGW-Numina team the ability to complement each other’s strengths, building state of the art automated, scalable, cost effective conveyor and sorting distribution automation solutions,” said Mario Herndl, president of TGW.
The effective working relationship was evident on Numina Group’s recently completed 820,000-square-foot Rantoul, Ill., state-of-the-art distribution and manufacturing operation for Easton Bell Sports. TGW provided two miles of blended conveyor technologies, taking advantage of their “best-of-breed” conveyor equipment to meet the demands for four split case zone routing and full case pick modules, automated packing conveyor lines, and three different sorters required for implementing Easton Bell’s omni-channel fulfillment operation.
