Dumb? Hey, I resemble that remark!
April 11, 2008

Hello. I'm Frank. These people here at Modern are wise guys. They call me "Imperfectly Frank" -- just because I'm a little accident prone. Stuff happens, right? Anyway, they had the nerve to ask me to host a blog for them about stupid things that happen on the job. Guess they feel I'm an expert on that for some reason.

Well, if they're willing to pay me to talk to you folks about the dumb stuff people do on the job--and I mean boneheaded accidents and  just plain nasty behavior --I'll take their money. It might be interesting, anyway, to hear about people who've done dumber stuff than me.

Who knows, maybe by talking about this stupid stuff we can all get smarter about making a better workplace. Want to play? Talk to me about your lift truck operators. I once saw someone (I won't say who) lift up loaded lift truck with his own lift truck so that load could reach a high-up shelf. Boy did I -- I mean he--get reamed for that. Anybody else out there see stuff like that happen?

The carton is great, both for the warehouseperson and Managment, for they will have to be on the same track for Saftey or there will be somone hurt on the Job. I know for I lost my father in 1967 to electrocution as Lineman of 17 years. Mistakes are not allowed in some types of work, including in a warehouse. An employee where I worked, ran a electric pallet jack off a dock hanging on to it, thinking he could stop it. Yes he did live. All because he had never been trained how to SAFELY use it. I hope the carton WAKES Up a LOT of workes and Management and makes the work place a Better Safe place to work for us all.
