Bob has covered information technology, automated data collection and materials handling at the magazine since 1998. From 1977 to 1983, he had hands on manufacturing and sales experience in the materials handling industry, working for a family-owned industrial packaging business. Since then, he has been a magazine writer, working for magazines as varied as Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest and Good Housekeeping. Covering the industry for Modern Materials Handling has allowed him to combine his interest in materials handling with his experience as a magazine writer. Trebilcock has a bachelor of fine arts in creative writing from Bowling Green State University.
Roberto covers the use of materials handling and information technology (IT) systems, primarily in the manufacturing industry. Michel has covered the use of IT by manufacturing enterprises since 1996, when he joined the staff of Manufacturing Systems magazine, a Reed Business Information publication now known as Manufacturing Business Technology. In his eight years on staff with the magazine, Michel rose to become chief editor of the print monthly, building up deep expertise in enterprise, manufacturing and supply chain planning and execution systems. He continues to write for Manufacturing Business Technology as a senior contributing editor, and since fall 2004, has been an Editor at Large with Modern Materials Handling.
Sara Pearson Specter has written articles and supplements for Modern Materials Handling as an Editor at Large since 2001.
