A new study from The Freedonia Group forecasts the global sales of pallets to increase 5% annually through 2017 to 5.1 billion units.
Even with some slippage for key metrics, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) reported today the non-manufacturing activity in February remained on a growth path for the 49th consecutive month in its February Non-Manufacturing ISM Report on Business.

Panjiva reported that U.S.-bound waterborne shipments in January—at 1,169,741—were up 9 percent year-over-year and up 7 percent from December to January. And the number of global manufacturers shipping to the U.S in January—at 165,531—was up 3 percent annually and up 1 percent from December to January.
