A new corrugated pallet from TRI-WALL is being offered in standard configurations, as well as custom designs that meet customer specifications for size, weight, and entry. This includes spacing of the stringers, changing the thickness of the top and bottom decks and applying coatings. According to the company, the demand for corrugated pallets is rapidly increasing as manufacturers seek more cost effective and sanitary replacements for wood, both for export and domestic shipment. By air, water or over the road, corrugated Pallets significantly reduce shipping costs. A standard wooden pallet weighs approximately 70 lbs., while a corrugated pallet weighs just 12 lbs. Therefore, a standard 48 inches x 40 inches pallet will allow manufacturers to ship 2200 lbs. more per truckload....more
