Accu-Sort Systems has introduced a new product to its line of RFID solutions, the Sentient RFR-02, a fixed-position RF tag reader for use in factory automation, automated material handling and asset identification applications. The new unit is compatible with the ISO 15693 standard allowing it to read and write to passive tags (RF transponders) operating at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. The compact RFR-02 can be powered from 10 to 30 VDC and has a number of built-in features. These include flash programmable microprocessor, visual diagnostic LEDS, dual communication ports, dual input triggers, two relay output controls and a dual antenna option for multiple read ports. Use of a flash microprocessor allows for quick, easy firmware upgrades without removing the unit from the field....more

A more compact replacement for its Model AV3700, the new unit measures just 12 inches x 10.5 inches x 6.5 inches compared with 16 inches x 13-1/2 inches x 8.7 inches. It supports all AV3700 configurations with the same lens/sensor flexibility. The AV3800 is connector-compatible with the AV3700 and features an adapter plate for drop-in optomechanical compatibility.
