Hyster Company has introduced the B60Z and 80Z Walkie/Rider pallet truck series for use in low-level order picking, cold storage and freezer applications and product transport industries. The pallet trucks' Separately Excited Motor (SEM) technology is energy efficient and easily serviced due to an integrated traction and hydraulic transistor controller. The SEM controller directly accelerates or decelerates the traction motor, increasing motor brush life through regenerative braking. The SEM controller also generates a greater torque range for faster travel speeds....more

Nissan Forklift has introduced their next generation of Walkie and Walkie Rider pallet trucks, the WPN and RPN Series. Available in both 6000 and 8000 lb. capacities, these pallet trucks have been redesigned to incorporate the latest technological advances. The pallet trucks feature a smooth, separately excited control system with diagnostics and Spyglass display. A standard environmental package allows usage in coolers, wet rooms and -20°F degree freezers without the need for thermostats or heaters. The pallet trucks also feature soft-touch, low effort switches to provide added comfort....more

Crown Equipment Corporation has enhanced its WP 2000 Series of Walkie Pallet Trucks. The WP 2300 is now easier to operate due to the advanced ergonomics of the X10 handle. This handle minimizes hand and wrist movements while simplifying control. Other design enhancements include a debris guard to protect the load wheel axle from items such as stretch wrap -- reducing a common cause of downtime. In addition, Crown's InfoPoint Quick Reference Guide supplies technicians with critical information for 95% of repairs right on the truck eliminating the need to track down schematics. A low-profile power unit provides high-end performance while contributing to a wider field of vision and infinite speed control in forward and reverse can be tuned to fit any application....more

Crown Equipment Corporation has introduced a new series of pallet trucks, the PE 4000 Series. The PE 4000 Series is significantly heavier than industry pallet trucks. This additional steel is used at critical stress points, allowing the PE 4000 Series to handle the tough environment of dock plates and uneven floors. Featuring exclusive structural enhancements, Crown rider pallet trucks have wear plates constructed of T1 steel (the same kind used on bulldozer blade tips) and steel doors that guard against damage to internal components. The PE 4000 Series also features a large drive unit and a 13 inches drive tire for smoother ride and sure handling of larger loads....more

The Prime-Mover SMX45 Electric Walkie Low Lift Pallet Truck (24-volt) features a state-of-the-art control handle, right-angle stacking and a capacity of 4500 lbs. A SepEx transistor controller and separately excited Class "F" drive motor provide high torque throughout the entire speed range. Thumb wheel travel controls and lift/lower controls are located in the ergonomically designed handle and can be easily operated with either hand. Reversing switch and horn buttons are also mounted in the control handle. An LED display shows battery condition, hourmeter, error and fault codes....more

Many companies with a lift truck fleet are converting to "Walkie" Lift Trucks from Big Joe Manufacturing Company. Using the PDC Power Drive Counterbalanced Truck, an operator can do the job immediately without wasting time waiting for a forklift operator to move, stage or stack a load. The PDC is less expensive than sit-down rider lift trucks. Operating costs are also lower. The PDC can be safely operated by any production worker with minimal instructions....more
